Tetsumaru is a dragon. Scales resplendent white with a sheen of faint crimson, he is an Asiatic dragon (long, rather than tall) of approximately fifteen feet, approximately half of which is tail. Tetsumaru only had skill at two things: looking good and listening to stories of fairy tales and legends. It dawned on him one day that while amongst his own kind he might have not been much, humans in stories were weak and gullible, and moreover they fanatically revered dragons.
Kumiko was born in a small village in the Sengoku jidai or the Warring States Era, she was born an only child to young parents. As a child she could heal wounds and preform purification of small demons, and as such word got around about her and evil demons started to attack the village, wanting to take the child who could wield her powers at such a young age.
